INSURANCE

It is compulsory for all groupies to have travel insurance whilst traveling with Wanderlands Bali. Traveling is all about adventure and experiencing the unknown. Unfortunately, this can mean that some things don’t always go to plan from time to time. Whilst you are in the safe hands of your group leader from the moment you walk through arrivals to the end of the tour, planes can sometimes be delayed, luggage can go missing and accidents can happen. Your group leader will check your documents at the beginning of the tour to ensure you are correctly covered and you can travel with peace of mind.

It is important your travel insurance covers you for the following:

  • Medical expenses.
  • Missed flights.
  • Luggage loss and theft.
  • All activities included in the tour.

If you haven’t got your insurance arranged yet, simply get in touch with us and we can help you arrange it. Call: (+62) 361 9080 482 or Email: info@wanderlands.travel

FAQ

FAQ

Where can I stay if I arrive before the start date?

We are happy to book your pre night accommodation at our hotel in Canggu. It is roughly 1,050,000IDR-1,200,000IDR per night and needs to be paid locally once you check in. The name of the hotel is Canggu Village https://cangguvillageaccommodation.com/. Dorm rooms are also available at the property (KosOne Hostel) for 415,000IDR per night (mixed and female dorms) https://www.kosonehostel.com/. Feel free to book your pre-night(s) accommodation directly with them online.

Where can I purchase insurance?

Travel is all about adventure and the unknown, but that doesn’t mean you should be too risky. It is imperative that all Wanderlands Groupies are covered by travel insurance and because we have been doing this for a while, and know exactly the type of cover you will need, we recommend booking yours through World Nomads. https://www.worldnomads.com/

What are the room allocations?

We will be staying in twin rooms or double (for couples) rooms at all our hotels, except for Puri Garden, Ubud, where you might be staying in a 4 person dorm room with a private bathroom. If you require certain sleeping arrangements, please do let us know so that we can accommodate you correctly.

Is there Wi-Fi available in our hotels?

Most of the hotels and cafes that we stay in or visit along our tour have access to good, strong Wi-Fi. Although, there may be certain areas where Wi-Fi is slow or non existent! Try to remember that sometimes it’s good to disconnect for a bit, so if you do find yourself without acces, just make the most out of it.

What kind of accommodation do we stay in?

We stay in hotels, they all have air conditioning, swimming pools and are clean, comfortable and tidy.

Do I need a visa to enter the country?

If you have any issues and queries about visas, we do recommend checking the embassy website, and using the information provided on our website https://wanderlands.travel/bali-good-to-know/#visa

Are flights included in the price?

No, unfortunately not. However, we are happy to help you with advice on what flight you should get.

What is the earliest time I can fly out after the tour?

Bear in mind that we finish our 8 day tour on Gili Trawangan and the nearest airport is back on the mainland in Bali. Therefore, flights departing from Denpasar airport shouldn’t be booked before 8pm on day 8, as any flights departing earlier may result in you missing out on some activities and no one wants that! If you’re doing the 13 day tour, again, please don’t book a flight before 6 pm, as it’s a long drive from Lovina back to Kuta and the traffic can be very heavy sometimes.

Where does the tour start?

8 & 13 day tour- Canggu, Bali.

Where does the tour end?

8 day tour - Gili Trawagan, Lombok
13 day tour - Kuta, Bali

What meals are included?

All breakfasts are included, plus one dinner if you are doing our extended 13-day tour.

Is airport pick up included?

Yes, airport pick up can be arranged free of charge for those arriving on the start date - or 1 day before if you stay at our first hotel. If you have booked pre night accommodation at the hotel we use in Canggu and would like to be picked up more than 1 day before your tour start date, we can organize our driver to pick you up from the airport and drop you off at the hotel. Just contact us for more info.

How do I get back to the airport?

It you've booked the 8-day tour, you need to catch a ferry from Gili Trawangan back to Bali. The first ferry leaves at 11am and the ticket also includes a shuttle bus to the airport once you get off the boat. Don’t worry though, your Wanderlands Bali group leader can help you book this. For the 13-day tour, we will drop you off in Kuta, which is very close to the airport.

How much spending money do I need for my 8 days?

We can never give you an exact spending money figure as everybody spends differently! All your accommodation, activities and transport (minus the ferry and shuttle back to the airport on the last day) during your 8 days with Wanderlands Bali is paid for, so you will just need money for food, drinks and some shopping. Meals are roughly 50,000IDR- 100,000IDR, drinks are roughly 20,000IDR-50,000IDR and your transport back to the airport after the tour will be roughly 300,000IDR -500,000IDR (for the 8-day Bali tour). For the 13-day Bali and Lombok tour, the transport from Lovina back to Kuta is included.

Numbers of groups (age limit and size)

The size of our groups vary, but on average they range from around 12 – 20 people and have an array of ages from between 18-35+. Our tour encourages solo travellers as well as groups and couples, so there is a mix of solo travellers, groups and couples on our tour.
