Ubud
Selamat Datang di Bali! – welcome to Bali in Indonesian!
Today you will be picked up from Denpasar airport by one of our drivers, who will meet you in arrivals and escort you to our hotel in Ubud.
Here you will meet your group leader (the superstar who will accompany you throughout your Wanderlands tour!) who will make sure you are all settled in and give you all the insider Gili Trawangan and Lombok tips you could ever need! The rest of the day is yours: fancy relaxing by the pool? How about exploring the Sacred Monkey Forest? Maybe venturing out and exploring Ubud might tickle your fancy? The choice is all yours.
Tonight we will get together as a group at our welcome dinner, and get acquainted over delicious food and drinks before the adventure really kicks off tomorrow morning…
Gili Trawangan
Let’s go island hopping!
Today we will travel by boat to Gili Trawangan, a tiny island off the North West coast of Lombok.
Enjoy the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are no cars or scooters on the Gili Islands, making the sound of the ocean the perfect backdrop for maximum chilling.
Then: saddle up! We will ride our bikes along the coast to the best sunset spot on the island, where we can watch the magical hues of sunset pepper the sky.
After sunset we will visit the famous Night Market, where its traditional fare (including freshly caught fish – yum!) – awaits us.
Gili Trawangan
Are you ready to get wet?!
Today we will explore some of the best snorkelling spots in Indonesia!
Jump straight off the boat into the clear waters that surround Gili Trawangan and get ready to explore – underwater style!
Underwater statues, beautiful coral reefs and magical turtles all await you…
Feeling adventurous? We can help arrange a certified PADI open water course and qualification for you to complete during your time in Gili Trawangan. Now that’s a souvenir to take home!
In the spirit of island hopping we will pop to our next-door neighbour Gili Meno for a spot of lunch, after which we will visit the local baby turtle sanctuary!
Back on Gili T, the night will begin with dinner at an Irish Pub (fun fact: Gili T is the smallest island in the world with an Irish Pub!) followed by the iconic Gili Trawangan bar crawl. Are you ready?
Gili Trawangan
There is no need to set your alarm this morning – the time is yours!
Take in the island vibes and chill by the pool, hit the beach and work on your tan, or kick back and enjoy catching up on your beauty sleep. Now that’s what we’re talking about!
But don’t get too relaxed…because at dinnertime we will be learning to cook local delicacies at our exclusive cooking class!
With expert guidance from start to finish we will learn to create traditional sweet and savoury dishes. And the best bit? We will be eating everything we make after the class, family-style.
With full bellies and even fuller hearts, we will rally together and check out what’s happening in Gili T tonight.
Kuta Lombok
All aboard!
This morning we will take a short boat ride to Lombok and drive south to Kuta. The vibes in Kuta are super laidback – which may be a welcome change after the party lifestyle of Gili T!
Over the next few days it is time to relax and recharge, enjoy our epic accommodation, and maybe discover some hidden secrets of Lombok…
The beautiful Benang Stokel Waterfall and Benang Kelambu Waterfall are calling our names today, so bring your swimmers and camera gear and get ready to get wet! We will stop for lunch at a warung at the waterfall too, a perfect opportunity to sample local Lombok cuisine.
After drying off and freshening up at our gorgeous accommodation we will get together and have dinner in Kuta. After dinner, Kuta is waiting to be explored…
Lombok
After this truly unique experience we will visit Selong Belanak Beach, where we can enjoy each other’s company – and the magic of Lombok – on our last full day together. As an added bonus, water buffalo are herded along Selong Beach, so have your cameras to hand to capture this marvel!
Once back in Kuta we will get together for our last dinner as a group. Bring your tissues, things are about to get emotional…
Lombok
Let us come together and reflect on the magical times we have shared as we enjoy our last breakfast as a group. The trip may be over, but we know that the memories you made will last a lifetime.

I did the 7 days tour with Bapo which was really nice and well organized. The best part for me were the Gili islands. There we did not only snorkel and dive with the turtles, but also had time to relax on the beautiful beach. All of the hotels/ hostels were really nice and clean!

FAQs
Flights before and after the tour are not included in the tour price and you need to arrange these separately by yourself once your tour is confirmed. As we specialise in organising the best tours around the world for you, we are unable to advise on flight prices or book flights on your behalf.
There are 3 optional excursions available on this tour:
Discover Scuba Diving experience price approx. $100AUD, Scuba Diving Open Water Licence price approx. $600AUD, Gili T pub crawl price approx. $25AUD.
Please be advised that this is a guideline only and that prices are subject to change.
We can never give you an exact spending money figure as everybody spends differently! All your accommodation, activities and transport (minus the ferry and shuttle back to the airport on last day) during your 7 days with Wanderlands Travel in Gili and Lombok are paid for so you will just need money for food, drinks and some shopping.
Meals are roughly IDR 50.000 - 100.000, drinks are roughly IDR 20.000 - 80.000 and your transport back to the airport after the tour will be roughly IDR 300.000 - 500.000.
Tipping is not compulsory in Gili and Lombok and most restaurants include a service charge in the final bill, so any tip on top of this is at your own discretion.
